Effective date: 30 October 2026
These are the rules for using Ves. Please read them. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Ves.
1. Who we are
Ves is made by Burutay Yalçın, of 08021, Barcelona, Spain.
You can contact us at team@vesmobility.app or through Contact us in the app's Settings or the contact form on our website. Our Privacy Policy explains how we look after personal data.
2. What Ves does
Ves helps you get around Barcelona by public transport. It can show:
- stops and stations near you;
- departure times, live where the operator provides live data;
- suggested routes, including walking and changes; and
- service information published by transport operators.
Ves is free. You do not need an account.
3. Ves is not a transport operator
Ves is an independent app. We are not TMB, FGC, Renfe, TRAM, AMB, the Generalitat de Catalunya, or any other transport operator, and we do not act for them.
We do not run trains, buses or trams, and we do not sell tickets. Your journey is a contract between you and the operator. Questions about fares, refunds, delays, lost property or a transport service should go to the relevant operator.
4. How accurate the information is
We work hard to show useful information, but we cannot promise that it is always right or up to date.
- Times come from the operators. If an operator’s data is late, wrong or missing, ours may be too.
- Live times are not always available. When live information is available, Ves labels it as live. Otherwise, it shows the timetable. Timetabled times can be wrong when there are delays.
- Things change fast. Strikes, works, accidents and weather can change a service without warning.
- Routes are suggestions. Walking times, transfers, boarding points and recommended routes are our best estimate. They are not a guarantee.
For important journeys, such as catching a flight or long-distance train, leave extra time and check the operator’s own information.
5. Stay safe
Do not look at your phone while driving, cycling, crossing the road or standing near a platform edge. Always follow signs, staff instructions and announcements. They come before anything Ves says.
Walking and accessibility information may not suit everyone. Check that a route is safe and works for you, especially if you use a wheelchair, have a pushchair or have limited mobility.
6. Using Ves fairly
You may use Ves for your own personal travel. Please do not:
- copy, collect or resell Ves data in bulk, including with automated tools or scrapers;
- try to break, overload or get around the app’s security;
- copy, change or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it; or
- use Ves for anything illegal or in a way that harms other people.
If someone misuses Ves, we may restrict their access where it is reasonable to protect the app, its users or other people.
7. Who owns what
The Ves app, its name, design and code belong to Burutay Yalçın or its licensors. You may use the app, but these terms do not give you rights to copy or reuse them.
Transport data, maps and other third-party material belong to their respective owners and are used under their licences. You can see every source and its licence in Settings → Legal → Data credits.
8. Maps and other third-party services
Ves uses Google Maps to show maps and find places. By using Ves, you also agree to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
9. When Ves is not available
Ves needs the internet and depends on our systems, the transport data sources and other providers. Sometimes it may not work, or it may show older information. We may change, pause or stop features, or the whole app, for security, legal, technical or other important reasons. Where a change has a material effect on you, we will give reasonable notice when we can.
10. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits responsibilities that the law does not allow us to limit. This includes harm we cause on purpose or through serious carelessness, death or personal injury caused by our fault, and your mandatory consumer rights.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for missed connections, extra fares, taxi costs or other losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, transport operators’ own services, or inaccurate, incomplete or unavailable third-party data. This does not apply where we have failed to meet our legal duties or these terms, and it does not affect your consumer rights.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Ves at any time by deleting the app. Deleting the app removes everything Ves stores on your phone. A copy may remain in your phone's iCloud or Google backup, which Apple or Google manages for you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the law, the app or our service changes. We will update the effective date and show the new version in the app. If a change is important, we will tell you before it applies unless we need to make the change straight away for legal or security reasons.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you live in Spain or elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the consumer protection that applies where you live.
If you have a problem, please write to us first at team@vesmobility.app or through Contact us in the app or the contact form on our website, and we will try to help. You may also use the consumer services available where you live. Nothing here takes away your right to go to the courts that have jurisdiction under the law.
